Best Candidates
If you want to brighten your smile in the comfort and convenience of your own home, our team may recommend a customized teeth whitening kit. Your teeth may look dull or have yellow and dark stains that have accumulated over time. You may have tried over-the-counter whitening products, but found them ineffective, uncomfortable, or damaging to your teeth. At Dental Health, the strength of the whitening solution is customized to your needs and goals, so it is a great option for sensitive teeth. A home teeth whitening kit may be used alone or after an in-office whitening treatment to maintain your results.
What to Expect
Your at-home whitening kit will be put together by the Dental Health team with teeth bleaching gel and mouth trays. Prior to making your home whitening kit, we will conduct a thorough examination of your teeth and oral health in order to select the best whitening strength and formula. For your teeth whitening trays, you can choose to have impressions taken of your teeth so custom trays can be made, but it will take longer to get them. Meanwhile, we offer professional mouth trays that can be used immediately. Once your kit is ready, the Dental Health team will go over the specific instructions required for each treatment, including how long and how often to use the whitening gel.
Dental Health Reviews
Excellent dentist. Compassionate and caring. Everything explained well and she's highly skilled.
Best dental office ever! I used to have dental anxiety but no more. They are very gentle.
Amazing staff and dentist. Very clean, and professional but also very welcoming.
Dr Ellison's office is the happiest and friendlyest dental practice I've ever had in my 81 years. I've had all sorts of dental work done at her practice, implants, crowns, extractions and general exams and cleaning. The med techs that assist in all procedures are well educated and trained well. At 81, I wasn't sure about having another implant so I asked Dr Ellison and we had a 20 minute chat to help me with my decision. She went over X-rays and we discussed pros and cons and with her help decided to have an extraction instead of a transplant since it was a tooth in the background and would not be seen when smiling and would not interfere with chewing. At 81 I thought this was a smart choice. Dr Ellison is so pleasant, friendly and professional all at the same time. Same with her entire staff right up to the front desk who are also very helpful in answering questions. I can recommend this dental office wholeheartedly without hesitation.

Follow-Up
Your results will depend on the strength of the whitening solution, your initial enamel color, and how often you use your whitening treatment. Once you achieve your desired shade, you can stop using your at-home kit. To maintain your results, you should keep a good oral hygiene routine and make lifestyle changes, including avoiding staining foods, beverages, and tobacco products. Furthermore, you should schedule bi-annual cleanings at Dental Health where stains can be polished away, and annual dental exams so our team can check on your overall oral health. You should keep your mouth trays clean and in a safe place, so if you want to restart your whitening treatment, you would only need to purchase more whitening gel.
Insurance Coverage
At-home teeth whitening is a cosmetic procedure, which means it is typically not covered by dental insurance. During your consultation, we can talk about your cost estimates based on your treatment options, go over payment methods we accept, and provide information on low-interest medical financing.
