Dentures in West Brattleboro, VT

Overview

Dentures are a good option if you need a replacement for missing teeth. Removable dentures can renew the appearance of your smile and make it easier to speak and eat with full confidence. Our board-certified Dental Health team can provide either full or partial removable dentures for patients in Brattleboro, VT. Full dentures can replace all the teeth in your upper arch, lower arch, or both, while partial dentures leave some of your natural teeth to act as support. At Dental Health, we will help you decide whether full or partial dentures are best for your needs, and then have them custom made to look natural. Schedule a consultation at our family dental practice to learn more about dentures.

Best Candidates for Dentures

You may be an ideal candidate for dentures if you have suffered the loss of many teeth, but still have healthy gums and a strong jawbone. If you have natural teeth, these may either be extracted for a full denture or kept with a partial denture. During your consultation with Dental Health, we will examine your mouth and discuss your options based on your needs and budget.

What To Expect

If needed, the Dental Health team will extract any teeth before taking oral impressions, which will be used to make your custom dentures. Partial dentures will be shaded to match your natural teeth for a seamless appearance. Once your dentures are crafted, we will adjust the fit so they are comfortable and secure. Our team will also go over the best way to care for your new dentures.

Our family has been coming here for almost 6 years. My oldest daughter was so nervous to go to the dentist for the first time and they went above and beyond to help her feel comfortable. We had the option to switch dentists due to our new insurance, but due to how comfortable they helped my young daughter feel we chose to stay with them. We now have three daughters and all three love going to the dentist. A very positive experience!

I initially picked this place because it is literally on the one road I must use to get anywhere from my apartment (I live in a very rural area). I could not have been luckier with my choice. Of course dentists get a bad rap in general because well, who enjoys having another persons hands in their mouth much less with the very real potential for sharp objects and tiny power tools to be used as part of the process? My random decision based entirely on convenience of location has resulted in the discovery of a care provider that easily exceeds not only my expectations but also surpasses with ease every other dental experience I have had in my 52 years on this planet. Every aspect of the care I’ve received here is nothing short of exceptional. They are genuinely friendly and undoubtedly skilled. The entire experience from reception to the dreaded chair and back is without a doubt superior to every other dental practice I have encountered. In a field where the potential for opportunistic behavior is ripe, the staff here is nothing but genuine, thoughtful, and professional. I regularly tell people how lucky I feel to have ended up with the best oral care I’ve ever had as a result of a random decision that was based entirely on convenience. I literally can not state how grateful I am to be a patient here and I would dare say that I look forward to my appointments. Hands down the best oral care I’ve ever received and I’m picky about my teeth .

Follow-Up

It may take some time before your new dentures feel comfortable and natural, but it should eventually be easier to eat and speak normally. If your dentures feel loose, return to Dental Health to have your dentures re-adjusted. At home, you will need to keep your dentures clean by brushing them twice a day. When you remove your dentures, they should be soaked so they don't dry out. Continue to schedule exams and cleanings at our facility so the Dental Health team can check the wear and fit of your dentures and the health of your jaw and gums. We will let you know if you need to have your dentures repaired or replaced but with proper care, your dentures should last for many years.

Insurance Coverage

If you have dental insurance, part of the cost of your dentures will typically be covered. Our office will contact your insurance company to determine your exact coverage and out-of-pocket expenses. During your consultation with a member of the Dental Health team, we will customize your treatment plan so your dentures fit both your needs and budget. To help make your denture affordable whether you have dental insurance or not, our practice accepts many forms of payment, including medical financing.
