Best Candidates
Veneers can be used to quickly cover chips and stains on your enamel, improve misaligned or worn down teeth, and fix teeth that are abnormally shaped or spaced. At Dental Health, your veneers will be custom made to fit comfortably over your teeth for an attractive and natural look. During your consultation, our team will listen to your goals and expectations so they can customize your treatment. Our Dental Health team will also see if you are a good candidate for veneers by assessing your overall oral health. You should not have signs of gum disease, or habitually clench your jaw and grind your teeth (called bruxism).
What To Expect
Once you have developed your unique treatment plan with Dental Health, we will take digital or physical impressions of your teeth. Your veneers may be made in our office with CEREC technology while you wait, or the impressions can be sent to a dental laboratory where your custom veneers will be crafted out of high-quality porcelain material. When your veneers are ready, we will carefully remove a small amount of enamel from the front of your teeth. This both creates space for the veneers and improves the bond for a more natural result that lasts a long time. Once your veneers are bonded, our Dental Health team may make minor adjustments so your veneers fit comfortably.
Dental Health Reviews
Excellent dentist. Compassionate and caring. Everything explained well and she's highly skilled.
It has been a long time since I have had dental care. Finally, I had to reach out because the pain of some teeth that were in really bad shape needed to be dealt with. I was told by previous dentist that these teeth needed to be removed or root canals needed to be done. Those options are not preferable nor affordable. I was taken right in and they immediately took care of the teeth that were causing me the greatest discomfort it was embarrassing because my teeth had gotten so bad yet they made me feel right at home and then made time for me the next day They continue to work with me and I’m so grateful for all their help. What is the difference I would highly recommend this office to anyone seeking compassionate, responsive quality care.
These are highly skilled, kind and considerate professionals. Woman-owned and operated. I recommend them to anyone in southern VT who seeks a caring dentist.
Heather had a harrowing experience getting to work (snow and ice) the day she cleaned my teeth, but she immediately settled down and was gentle and professional throughout. Nice work Heather!
1st time in many years the dentist didn’t come in to check for cancer, review my situation, etc. after a cleaning.

Recovery
Since getting veneers typically does not require anesthesia, you should be able to resume your daily activities after your appointment. You may experience some sensitivity to hot and cold food for a few days, but this should subside naturally. Your veneers should be cleaned like your natural teeth with daily brushing and flossing. While porcelain veneers are more resistant to stains compared to your natural enamel, you should still avoid staining food and drinks to keep your smile bright. To avoid damaging your veneers, you should not chew on hard objects, such as ice or your fingernails. Continue to schedule dental exams and cleanings at Dental Health so we can monitor the condition of your veneers, natural teeth, and overall oral health. Our Dental Health team will let you know if your veneers need to be repaired or replaced.
Insurance Coverage
Veneers are a cosmetic procedure, so they are typically not covered by dental insurance. Dental Health does accept many payment methods, including medical financing, to help make your treatment easier to afford. During your consultation, the Dental Health team will customize your treatment plan to fit your goals and budget. We will go over an estimate for your treatment and explain your payment options.
